Adoption ~ Here we come!

So,  here is our first post. I will try to be concise. Kyle likes to say, "Don't say with two words what you can say with one." So, I will try...

We are in the process of adopting.  We are super excited about it! We have actually been in the process for several months, but we wanted to get a little bit down the road before announcing it.

So Where Are We?

After a lot of prayer, discussion, and counsel we decided to adopt domestically this first time. At this point in the process we have passed our Home Study. This included turning in a good bit of paperwork (ours was over 100 pages), having several interviews with our Social Worker, and passing a home inspection. We received our paperwork back with the thrilling word "passed" on it. Now we are working on building our profile book to enter the adoption pool. Time Frame? 

We don't have one. For much of the process we won't. It could be weeks it could be years (literally). But we are thankful that our Lord does have a schedule and we know that our journey will progress exactly as He has planned.

Ecclesiastes 3:14 ~ I know that whatever God does it shall be forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him.

So, that is the long and short of it. We would love for you to continue to pray with us that we would joyfully trust and rest in our Lord.
